Imagine making a CD for $120!

What is the most important ingredient in a good studio? Is it the brand of recording gear? Is it the equipment? Is it the leather couch? No, it is the ears and years of the recording engineer. Long before recording software, Iso-booths and even multi track recording, ‘recordists’ were getting great sound with 2 microphones and 1 'take'.Don't get us wrong we use top notch 64 bit recording software, unlimited tracks, effects etc., but good recording like good music will always come from the ears and the heart.

What's the Cost?  Our basic rate is $40/hour with a 2 hour minimum.Live event/remote location recording is $250 inside the city but does not include post production time which is $40/hour.

How much time will your project need? That depends on your needs. Recording live 'off the floor' is the most economical way. Anything from a single singer songwriter to a 5 piece band can  record all their music in an hour with only 1-2 hours of post production. Imagine making a CD for $120!

If you want to do more, that is available. Perhaps you are only one person but you want to sound like a band. We can take your song and add almost any instrument to it, make it in almost any style. Imagine having a  jazz band and/or string orchestra on your CD!

At RIVER HEIGHTS MUSIC WINNIPEG you will get an excellent recording of your music that you can use for your own listening, education, a gift for friends and family or reproduce for sale...it's up to you. 
We have drums by Sonor, Ayotte, Yamaha, Gretch and Ludwig. Amps by Fender, Traynor and Yamaha. Roland VG88 mkII virtual guitar and amp modeler. Roland GT & Yamaha  guitar effectsGR50 guitar synth. Yamaha upright acoustic and electronic pianos. Roland octapad, electronic drums. Mikes by all the major brands. 64, 32 & 16 bit recording. Halion One, Symphony Orchestra & Prolouge sounds and Groove Agent drums and percussion.

Who Can Use our Services?
  • Singer Songwriters who just want to record themselves singing and playing their songs.
  • Singers/Songwriters who want a band sound without having a band. All songs MUST have melody and chords. Lyrics alone or Lyrics & Melody are not enough. You must also know and provide a basic chord chart or at least be able to demonstrate the chords if you don't know their names.
